Sign Baby, Sign! was co-founded by Melanie Burnip and Michelle Steenhuis, both Baby Sign Language Educators. Melanie is a registered Speech Language Pathologist with 10 years of experience working in the education setting. Michelle received her diploma in Educational Resources and Special Needs (ERSN) in 1998. She has a life-time of experience with sign language and assisting individuals with special needs.

Melanie and Michelle both signed with their children from a very early age and have seen, firsthand, the amazing benefits of teaching sign language to pre-verbal children. They are very excited to share their experiences and knowlege with you! Learn how easy it is to boost your baby's communication skills through sign language.

Our workshops are based on American Sign Language (ASL).

We have partnered with Sheridan Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning (Oakville, ON) and Mohawk College (Hamilton, ON). Watch for us in their fall calendar!

This introductory workshop will teach parents all they need to know to start signing with their baby. This workshop is comprised of two sessions. The first week is a two hour session just for parents; the following week is a one hour session with babies.

This program is tailored made for the ECE setting. Staff will learn all they need to know to start signing with babies and toddlers in the classroom. All materials are provided. Ask about large group rates.
