About Us
Welcome to all mothers, fathers, grandparents, caregivers, teachers, and professionals! You have just entered a new and exciting world for you and your child. There are so many benefits for using sign language with your infant, toddler, or school aged child. Let me show you how sign language can benefit them with language and social skills, communication, intellect, emotion, and literacy to make a difference in their life!
Little Signers Academy is proud to be owned by Blair Chadwick. I received my undergraduate degree in Child Development and Family Relations with a minor in American Sign Language Studies from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. I have worked in many capacities all of which have involved sign language. I have taught American Sign Language at the high school, college, and university level. I am nationally certified as a sign language interpreter and interpret in the community when I am not teaching classes. I have a special love for the language of the Deaf because I began learning to sign at the age of eighteen months. I am certified as a baby sign langauge instructor and I am eager to teach you what sign language can do for your family. |

Parent Workshops - Baby Signing 101
|
| |
This workshop introduces parents and caregivers to the benefits of using ASL with pre-verbal infants and children. In one two hour session you will learn 50 signs, helpful tools and techniques of teaching, and the best time to start signing. |

Parent & Child Classes

Classes are 60 minutes and meet once a week for 10 weeks. In a playful, language-rich, educational environment, parents, caregivers and children will build their ASL vocabulary through interactive games, songs, instruction and storytelling. Ages 6-36 mos |

Private Instruction

In-home classes fit your needs & schedule. This is a wonderful option for a moms club, playgroups & childcare centers. I can work with your family individually or with a group to assist you in acquiring an ASL vocabulary to incorporate in daily routines. |

This class builds sign language skills through songs, games, storytelling, & art. Children learn about the alphabet, numbers, calendar, opposites, people in the community and holidays through age-appropriate sign language activities. Ages 3-5 years |
